Join Cassie Prather, Epidemiologist, Department of Health (DOH), as she explains what to do when your facility is in outbreak and what steps you should take to be best prepared. Cassie will also provide resources and educate attendees on where to locate and interpret information regarding disease on the DOH website.

SPEAKER
Cassie Prather is an MPH graduate from Eastern Washington University who has had the privilege of working as an intern during graduate school and then transitioning to a full time Epidemiologist at the Spokane Regional Health District (SRHD) post-graduation. In January of 2022, Cassie took a job as an Epidemiologist with the Washington State Department of Health (DOH) on the Healthcare Associated Infections & Antimicrobial Resistance team assisting the Infection Prevention and Education and Guidance team.
As an Epidemiologist at both SRHD and DOH Cassie have worked very closely with long term care facilities and other medical facilities assisting in outbreak management and infection control issues.
Outside of work Cassie enjoys many things outdoors such running, hiking, skiing, traveling and lots of lake time in the summer. She is a proud dog owner of a six-year-old chocolate lab named Charlie who loves her tennis ball!
